Fees Support the Valley: Net of direct investment and administrative expenses, the fees assessed on funds held at the YVCF support the work we do throughout the Yakima Valley. By establishing a donor advised fund with the YVCF, you are also enabling our community convenings, strategic grantmaking, nonprofit trainings, and the promotion of charitable giving that ultimately transforms the community we call home.
Acceptance of Complex Gifts: We will work alongside you and your professional advisors to consider tax-wise giving opportunities and can help you with a variety of unusual gifts, including stock, agricultural assets, real estate, life insurance, IRAs, and more.
Personalized Customer Service: Our staff provides personalized services to our donors, developing relationships that span decades – and, often, generations. We welcome opportunities to meet with you in person at locations convenient to you to get to know you and better understand you and your family’s philanthropic priorities.
Unusual Grants: While most commercial donor advised fund providers will only grant to 501(c)(3) organizations, we recognize the important role other entities play in responding to the needs of our region. Donor advised funds at YVCF may grant to units of government (schools, libraries, etc.) and to some non-charitable entities for charitable purposes.
