Sponsorship Grants

The Yakima Valley Community Foundation provides Sponsorship Grants to support events and activities that benefit the Yakima Valley community and promote the foundation's mission. These grants are designed for nonprofit organizational events or projects and are available year-round, subject to funding availability.

Tax-Exempted

Be a nonprofit organization that is tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code or a government entity.

Community-Benefitting Services

Provide services or programming that benefit the Yakima Valley community.

Community-Focused Planning

Have a clear plan for the event or project and how it will benefit the community.

Guidelines

Submit a letter or email describing the organization, event or project, and the amount of the request at least 60 days prior to the event.

Funding


The maximum amount of funding available for a Sponsorship Grant is $3,000. Sponsorships are subject to funding availability and are awarded based on the strength of the application and the degree to which the proposed event or project aligns with the foundation's mission.

Application Process

To apply for a Sponsorship Grant, organizations should follow these steps:

  1. Submit a letter or email to the Yakima Valley Community Foundation at info@yakimavalleycf.org at least 60 days prior to the event.
  2. The letter or email should include the following information:
  • Organization name and contact information
  • Event or project description
  • Amount of funding requested
  • How the event or project will benefit the Yakima Valley community
The Yakima Valley Community Foundation will review the application and notify the organization of the decision.
